Well, just got a quick report about a couple Utah BMX riders.
Heather Allred has already won her 1st moto in 20"!
And unfortunately, it looks like Robby Patterson crashed pretty hard yesterday and is in the hospital. The report I got was there could be an issue with his spleen. This is definitely bad news, and I just want to let the Patterson's know we're thinking about you and wishing for nothing but the best and a quick recovery!
More to come soon.....

I watched the last half of the grands today, this is what I remember......
- TP did not win the title. Same with Aire.
- Mike kelly got 3rd in 24". Awesome gate & if he wasn't in gate 8 he would of been contending for the win for sure.
- Cody got 6-7th in 24"(?)
- Heather got 3-4th in 24".
- Verhaugan doubled & won #1 AM 24" title.
- Halvey was in both his mains.
- Brandon made his main in 24".
- Jordan ate it bad in his 24" main. Got mid-pack in 20" main.
- Travis made his 20" & 24" mains
- Martinez made both his 20' & 24" mains.
- Anna(?) made her main.
- Bubba wins the title. DR wins the Pro Cruiser title, Post wins Girl Pro. Stumpy wins the Grands AA & Warwick wins Pro Open.
- Cisar wins A-Pro.
That's about all I can remember.

Thanks to all for your concern for Robby. We learned a valuable lesson the hard way concerning practice at the Grands!
Anyway, we made it home last night and Rob is still doing fine. He's a little sore but nothing to bad considering how hard he hit the ground last Thursday night!
He has what is known as a "cracked spleen." We thought he might have broken ribs going to the hospital, but the CAT scan revealed the internal injury. He was lucky not to have had his spleen removed right then and there! Only because it was not bleeding badly allowed him to keep it! I still can't believe he didn't break any bones!
He will have to lay low for a while to give it time to heel.
He had just cleared the whole pro set prior to the big crash in the rhythm. He already had a bloody mouth from biting the cross bar coming up short the first time over the big second one. (Note: that second big one broke 2 frames and one set of forks over the course of the weekend!) He had already been absolutely flying through the rhythm from his first lap on. He was still looking for a faster way through there and was attempting to triple the last 3 rollers before the center table for the third time (he had already done it twice before) when he missed timed it, clipped the third one and full on body slammed into the face of the table at WARP 20!!! I knew he was hurt when he hit.
On a positive note, it looks like he will retain his NAG 9 Cruiser plate for the season. Unfortunately, he will end up 11th in Class where we were hoping for at least one top 5 plate going in. He got bumped out of 10th by Matt Rubeck.
We really want to thank everyone at the Grands with us for their support, especially those folks who visited Robby in the Hospital. That really cheered him up as the realization that his season was over had by then fully set in. Big thanks to Jackie and Pam for getting that plate signed by all the pros. He really liked that!
Robby will be back!
