I was sad to hear from Travis and his family that the Salt Lake National was his last race.
I'm not sure what to say... other than I love the kid! he has always been such a nice kid. I say kid because when I came back to racing in 2001 he was like 12. Fast as heck but 12.
I most surely think Travis is one of the best racers to ever come from Utah. N.A.G plates every year. Big race wins. etc.
I went to lots of races with Trav and always had a great time.
Well I guess the kid is now a man and is following the path in life that he feels is going to take him where he wants to be...... no doubt he will be successful in whatever he does.
Good luck Trav and you know the Parry's love you and wish you the best.
See you soon,TP
PS> If and when you decide to make a comeback, I know you will succeed at that too.

If this is true........
Travis is just following the path most of us older BMXers have taken, you leave to pursue other things in life in your late teens or early 20's. School, cars, family, motorcycles, GIRLS.......there are a million other things out there to do. I know Trav has a passion for basketball & I love talking Jazz with him. I'm sure he will keep riding his bike, show up at the track once in a blue moon & most likely come back to racing one day. Whether that's 1,5,10 or whatever years from now, BMX will always be there & he'll probebly enjoy it even more after a long break.
With his little sister being groomed to take over the "fastest girl in Utah" title, I'm sure we will see him out at the races here & there.
Have fun with your time off from BMX Travis!
