Fox Channel 13 News @ 5pm? 9pm?

Fox channel 13 news was out at the indoor track this afternoon and filmed some racing and did a couple interviews and will be broadcasting the tape during the 5pm news, and possibly during the 9pm news.

Should be some GREAT advertising for Utah BMX!!

Nope TP you guessed wrong.....the only interviewing I did this weekend was with the broom and the rake that I had in my hand. LOL

Ok, I TiVo'd the entire 5pm newscast and didn't see anything. Hopefully they will show it at 9pm. I'll TiVo it, and if there is something, I'll try and get it downloaded to my computer and put up on the site.

It was on at about 930 last night. There was 9x, moto 2 in the last straight, one of the older girl's classes, and an interview with Ashley Topham. Pretty cool, but short.

It was a good little segment but very short as Justin said. I wished they would have interviewed an older rider along with Ashley to round out the message that BMX is for everyone.

If we continue to contact the various news stations and let them know about upcoming races it may lead to a lot more exposure, hopefully. So if any of you have a spare minute or two to drop emails to the TV stations and let them know about the races coming up in two weeks, it could be some great press. Even those whose volunteer postion is as a "racer" can contribute :wink:

I saw the segment, and it was good. I also watched at 5:00 and saw the train people beat us out for that spot. They showed them at 5 and 9.

I also have this feeling the announcer at Rad is going to latch on to the "Choo-Choo Show" nickname for Ashley. "Here she comes around turn number one, the Choo-Choo Show Ashley Topham on the point..."

You can't blame me when I do it Ashley. Its not my fault. As the announcer I have to use the material I am given :lol:

On the other hand, you can go beat up the people at Channel 13. After all, it IS their fault :wink:

I think that when you are older and look back at your BMX years it will become one of your fondest memories. Besides, now that I know your dad is calling you that then I KNOW the tag is going to stick :lol:
