I was able to come home from the hospital sooner than expected. The doctor went in, removed the tumor (larger than a grapefruit) and found no cancer. I feel so blessed that chemotherapy was not required. I was at the LDS hospital for 4 days on the cancer level. I met cancer patience and gained a greater appreciation for my health. What we take for granted is amazing. I'd give anything right now to be able to just blow my nose without feeling like the 21 staples are going to pop out. The doctor said the incision would be small but it is about 6 inches long, starting at the belly button and going down.
I'm slowly getting up and around and hope to be back out to the track on my bike by the time indoor races begin. Good luck to all of you going to Nationals. Get out there and give it your all. I was scheduled to be there but a little something altered my plans. I'll be waiting to hear results!
