Breanna Bonker in the hospital

Postby drbbmx » Mon Oct 09, 2006 9:38 pm

Sunday afternoon Breanna suffered a severe blow to the head while riding her bike at sandy skate park. She was taken to Primary childrens hospital a cat skan revealed a skull fracture and hemorrhaging of the brian. She was placed in to the I.C.U. over night for observation to determine if surgery was needed THANK GOD the bleeding stoped on it's own. This morning she was moved to the nero science ward were she is now resting comfortable surrounded by family and friends God BLESS YOU. P.S i would like to say that we are fortunate to have one of the best childrens hospitals in the country here in utah thank you. Also one last note KIDS when your father says put on your helmet DO IT!!!!

Your entire team is thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery. Your family is one of the best there is in bmx or just in life! We love you and appreciate the example you set on the track for our daughter. It shouldn't need to be said but, Dawn and Dan if you need anything at all do not hesitate to call us.

Bryan and I took the kids to visit Breanna last night. She is in good spirits and resting comfortably. The back of her head is very squishy to the touch. Breanna was joking around and munching on a sucker. They haven't set a time yet for when she'll be home. They are hoping within the next week. She can't wait to come back out to the track. What an amazing family!
