Don't call it a comeback.

Rumor has it that a certain platform shod bmx'r wants to remind all of his comp of the pecking order in his class before he starts football next weekend. I'm not one to start anything.........but he hopes that all his main comp shows up next Tuesday to be reminded of who is the fastest 12I in the state. Spead the word. 8)

This also means that I might, & that's a BIG might, make a rare appearance at RC. Since that in itself is huge news, tell you what I'll also do. Bring a sharpie & your number plate over to me sometime during the evening & I'll autograph it for you, free of charge.

When the heck did that happen!? First up, big congrats out to Spencer, he's a tough kid & will no doubt fit in that 12x class. I checked the ABA site a few days ago & saw that he had a few more wins left to go, he must of really kicked some ass over the last month or so.
We have all still stayed on 2-wheels but doing Mt. biking & road riding instead. I got Vince into that & he's into it but last week he said he wanted to go out & race so he didn't lose his skills, plus like I said football starts next weekend w/ 4 practices a week & that leads right into school at the end of the month so it will be awhile until we see the track again but you never know, he might want to hit up the SCF if it doesn't conflict.
Another thing, Vince actually tried out clips for the first time last weekend on my Mt. bike & rode around for awhile. When he came back I asked how he liked them & he said he didn't see what the big deal was with them, he didn't think they helped with anything & didn't like how they felt when he cornered. So it's safe to say he's Platform Vinnie for awhile.

yep, Spencer really has been kicking ass for about 7-8 months now. He won something like 18 out of 22 races. The others being either crashes or just mistakes on his part. He didn't actually ever get to 25 wins, but he felt like staying with the inters was not pushing him enough. I actually was trying to talk him into hanging around the inters class a few more races, but he pretty much instisted he wanted a crack at Mitch and company. Spencer is really motivated lately, and I just couldn't hold him back.

Anyway, I hope i can make it out Tuesday.

It was nice seeing alot of friends at RC last night, it felt like I haven't been there in 6 months. I noticed ALOT of new faces, especially in the younger classes. Just watching that older 20" class makes me feel slow, you guys are all going fast.
Greg, I sat & watched you & wanted to chat but it looked like you had your hands full with your kids & you racing. Who's that chick with the red hair in your class?
Rob Both sure made Vincent feel welcome with the props in his first moto. Vince hasn't even been on his bike since his last race & he had quite a bit of track rust. That kid on the yellow Redline is pretty good & held Vince off in the main, he had a good time non the less. Watching the 5 & under class is the best. We might make it out SCF but who knows.

Laters,
Handy b.

YA, who is that girl with the RED hair????? She almost beet me in the second moto, as I relaxed at the finish. That is a BAD habbit I have got to break! I really need to race 'till the end.

I wish you would have at least said 'hey', but you are correct in saying I had my hands full. I would have looked for ya, but between running the youngest to the bathroom, getting him drinks and candy, explaining the races to some friends that were there watching, making my wife feel like I'm not ignoring her, not to mention the secondary thing of racing, I just forgot all about socializing.

Vince still looks like he can hold his own. I agree that the 5 yr olds are great to watch, but I still think that the 12I class is a pretty good race.

bye, bye

B!

It was really great seeing you out to the races last Tuesday! Thanks for coming to say hi! Best of luck with your biking goals this summer. Let us know how the hillclimb goes!

Platform Vinni looks fast as ever.

That girl's name is Laurie and she races about every Thursday usually- according to her. She started last year, but has been away for a while.

What is your schedule for your biking festivals, races, crits, etc...? I'm gonna try to make one of the Tuesday night RMR crits. It looks aweful fun!

Don't be afraid to come out and just ride before and after the races, man!

let's ride!
