Upcoming Website Plans

Postby J Gallo » Tue Jul 27, 2004 9:05 am

Hello!

Just thought I'd share some of the upcoming plans for future enhancements to the website. I'd also like to get your input, and of course any comments and suggestions are welcome too!

Over the next few weeks, I'll be putting together a "BMX Tips" page. Hopefully I can enlist some of our local experts and Pro's to contribute some "insider secrets" on BMX skills like training, gates, turns, etc. It will probably be either a weekly or bi-weekly feature, depending upon how many tips I can get.

Next up will be expanding the New Rider Info page. I'd like to include a few pictures (equipment, bikes, etc) and maybe include some local stores that can supply BMX bikes and safety equipment. I'd also like to include a "road map" of sorts that breaks down each sequential step to start racing. Anything to make it easier to get started racing BMX.

And over the next few months, I will put the finishing touches on the Points Calculator. I hope to allow each rider to keep a running total of their points and wins throughout the year. I'm going to try and have this completed by Dec 1 so we can "test drive" it before the new year.

As always, if you have any information you'd like to provide, or have any comments or suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks for your support!

I had a suggestion last night for a "mini-interview" section, similar to a feature in the Racer X magazine. This would be pretty easy to put together.

If anyone is familar with ESPN the magazine, Dan Patrick has an Outtakes section, maybe style it something similar to that?

Any thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
