I went to Golds gym on Van Winkle & was TOTALLY impressed. They blow away Excel in just about every dept. I was a member of Excel for 5 years & the service just kept going downhill. My membership ran up today & I couldn't think of 1 good reason to keep going there.
I was told that the Excel gym at Jordan Landing was going to change hands, to who I don't know & the one up by my house was starting to feel the squeeze of members not re-upping & going elsewhere.
The Golds at Van Winkle is the biggest one in the nation, it has a swimming pool, movie theater room where you can do cardio & a great spin bike room where you can use the bikes ANYTIME!

That cinema room is something else. I haven't worked out in there yet but I can sure hear it. I've been hiting up the spin bikes everyday since I joined, only 1 person has been in there since Iv'e started going.
Iv'e also gone in at "primetime"......about 5:30 on a weekday. The other gym was always packed, this one is so fricking big it doesn't matter.
Tyler, bump that workout to an hour. Matt, I'll pass for now, i'm regaining alot of my cardio fast but not enough to hang in a hard spin class, maybe in a month.
BTW, I signed up for a 3year deal, VP status @ $15 a month. That's 50 cents a day!
