Thos are awesome videos.. We found some BIG jumps down at the Jprdan Canal Walkway... They were awesome, there was one about as big as the doubles at rad, and a table, and a smal pro section, not very big, only like 4 ft. long the pro was. But it was awesome.

The banzai was at the end of the 2nd straight, lots of fun. First time I ever saw somebody manual (speed jumping as it was called in my day) was Spencer. He was always doing that into the banzai. In that 93' Pro Open vid, you can see Veltman manualling that thing, hauling buns.

That still shot of the dude in red is Justin Pierce, co-founder of Utah BMX.com version 1 (1999).

With all of the videos avaliable on these sites, I would recommend the following media players (better that Windows Media Player)

WinAmp (The Best!!!)
http://www.winamp.com
Has an organizable media library, equalizer, tons of skin colors, and the ability to dock at the top/bottom of your screen. When you move the bar (that shows the progress) while watching videos the display of the video is immediately updated, so you can watch the video frame by frame.
*Avaliable for Windows only

VideoLan (Okay)
http://www.videolan.org
Plays almost every type of file format from music to video. However, it does have trouble when you change the progress bar, and there is no media libraries. Excellent to have so you can watch strange video/audio formats.
*Compatible for all types of operating systems (from Windows to Mac to Linux to Solaris)

RealPlayer
http://www.real.com
It plays video/audio excellently; however, I have heard it comes with a great deal of garbage.
*Windows and I believe Mac

Quicktime (Apple/iPod)
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Plays video/audio well. Comes free with iTunes.
*Windows and Mac

Enjoy!

Check this out......This was the first practice of the season at Twin Peaks, 1995. This was also the last season for Twin Peaks as it was shut down after the summer. This was ALSO the only time I rode on the track this season, later in this session, I just about blew out my achilles tendon over the first jump after slipping a pedal & didn't race all year! I'm in the middle, Carey Allred is to the left & look who is to the right of me, fresh off his mission......Halvey!! Yep, on a shaky old school Mongoose & looking about as nervous as a virgin on prom night.

Next up, an old fav of mine, my top-tube-tango in 1994 at Colorado Springs BMX on a road trip visting my buddy Russ. Slipped a pedal & the rest is history.

Last but not least is from 2001's nibbler national from Mesquite, NV. I have home footage of this race but this is the footage that was shown on ESPN. Cruiser class had TP, Melton & myself in this main. I remember I had to put a sweet move on some dude in my semi to make the cut & I did. Todd is in the red, Jason is in the yellow & I'm in the blue/grey.

I have the video of the Worlds in 2000.... of the gnarly crash in the 31-35 Wome's Cruiser class....... when Danita and I were the first two to get up.... I don't know how to transfer it though... it is pretty good.

I have that race too but I haven't watched it since it happened. Probebly in the top 5 worst crashes I have witnessed. I remember being scared for you two when that happened. For those that don't know, RC had the Worlds & FlyMom & the Dirt Diva were in the cruiser main when there was a huge pileup down the first straight. One gal broke some bones & another had a concussion. Danita's sunglasses prevented the handlebars from getting her in the eye........it was bad & I wouldn't want to relive those memories.
I have a ton of vid's from you two racing but my video editor program isn't working right now. as soon as I get it up & running I'll post a bunch of vid's of you two.

I love that huge table in the last straight at the first build at Rad... that thing was FUN and big (to me, I was like 8 or 9)!!! Maybe we can get something like that on next years track? Might be cool... 8)

Those are both excellent videos. Danita and her comp made a great dash for that finish line. May have been a disappointment she did not get first, but that kind of effort was awesome.

Same thing with the second video. That is some amazing riding. One question: who is who?

Thanks!
~Curtis
