Greg Prawitt did up this BMX poster and would like some input. I'll let him talk more about it in a followup post, so here's the poster:
Thanks Greg!

I know I've been talking about promoting BMX for awhile now, and I
finally threw together a sign that I will have printed and post around. I
just thought I'd get some feedback before I go forward.
I am putting together an info pack that I will get to people
that contact me from the signs. It will give more specific info on
the Utah BMX scene, basic new rider info, ABA sign up form, track info,
pictures, what ever I think will help attract new riders.
At the bottom of the sign, you see an ad for Golsan Cycles. I am
trying to get at least 2 or 3 sponsors (or advertisers) to buy a spot.
$150.00 each space. This will give them spots on the signs, flyers, and posters, as well as i'll try to get them to include a discount coupon to be included in the info pack, maybe like 20% off BMX bikes and helmets, to help new riders buy what they need.
I'll place info packs at the advertiser's location for people to
pick up, probably in a counter display or something like that, and mail or email them to people that contact me.
Right now, I plan on getting about 100 18" X 24" signs printed on
corrugated plastic to hang on fences etc, and maybe some flyers, posters or window clings or something.
Anyway, just hoping people will be honest about the sign (layout,
idea, readability, interest generating, etc, etc). Tell me if I'm totally
off my rocker........is there a better way.........am I wasting time and
money???
Whatever the feedback, negative or positive, it will be greatly
appreciated.
So,when this gets done, you should be seeing this EVERYWHERE!! From Ogden, to Provo, Salt Lake to Tooele, and everywhere in between.
