Who's got a secret (or not so secret) BMX fantasy?

Postby J Gallo » Sat Feb 05, 2005 11:44 am

Anyone out there have a BMX secret they'd like to share?

I'll start with mine. I'd like to announce. I've wanted to for a long time but never really pursued it because I wasn't familiar with most of the local racers. But of course now that I am familiar, I spend ALL of my time taking pictures and racing, so announcing might have to take a back seat.

I'd also like to be in control of the music, but that's a whole 'nother topic for another time... LOL :P

One fantasy I already fulfilled was getting in a gate (in a real race) with the "Almighty". I came up short, but it was a thrill none the less!

Ok, who else out there wants to share? Anyone? Bueller?

 I remember one day at the Tooele Indoor when a 15X whooped TP, in the qualifier and the main, so hang in there, miracles do happen Jason :) Even the best riders are not unbeatable, and in BMX, anything can happen, and eventually does

My BMX fantasy would be to race both Patterson boys, and get a first, while they are both trying! (Jeremiah works too! :D )

Also, to be the first Girls Pro crusier! But....well, we'll see how that works out!

My BMX fantasy would have to be taking first while racing Dani and Danita and Brooke!

Hold on , I'm catching my breath from laughing so hard!!!!!!

1- I got whooped by a 15x? whatever, why would I be racing a 15x when I was 33 at the time? I did race Cole Simmons in a total point race in my SECOND weekend of racing after 10 years off. I have it on tape--I won two laps, Cole won one. TP gets the overall win! If someone else whopped me come out and name names! It is easy to come on as Guest and talk trash! back it up with some video or something! or at least tell me who whooped me. I wouldn't have considered myself even close to the label "one of the best riders". I mean come on, how long does a rider get after not racing for 10 years? like I said, I raced two months and beat Cole. And I will have Jason Gallo post the video. I'll bring it this weekend.I'll also include the vid of me winning cruiser on flats on a borrowed bike my first weekend back! I can't remember who all was in the class other than Jason Melton.

2-Hey Melton when was the last time you actually beat me? 2001? I was riding a Haro at the time. I started riding a redline when I turned pro-2002. I don't recall you beating me ever after mid season 2001? maybe my memory is failing me?I'm not saying you didn't I just don't recall it? And I'm not meaning this in a negative or mean way!

It's funny how I gave a friend a little ribbing all in good fun and someone who won't even put their name on the board takes a pot shot at me. Of coarse anything can happen! Really! I didn't know that! that's why they run the race. If someone beats me 1 time out of 25,50 or 100 times whoop de do!!!! Prove how good you are over time, not one lap! And if you do beat me I'll be the first to say good race!

With that being said, ANYONE who wants to find out if they can beat me, sign the pro card and step up to the plate!!!!! and quit judging how fast you are by how close you think you are to me in PRACTICE!!!!!! I'm 37 years old!! and believe me when I was 15,16 years old there is no way some old timer could come out of a 10 year vacation and even come close to me. I just can't tell you how much differant a national pro race is compared to an Am race. 8 guys who can all beat you at any time! Personally I'm sick of the pot shots!! so in so is the best rider in utah including the pros. blah blah blah!!! racing isn't a manual contest! it's getting from the gate to the finish line first. If I get there first I win. Who cares if you can manual fifty rollers in a row.

My Fantasy------- People who are too spineless to post under their name will get a life!

People who want to talk crap or be negative, Get lost!! go find another sport to bring down!!

People who think they can whoop me or that someone else can whoop me, get your money out! Flash backs from the BS open?

For all you positive people out there who know I was kidding, I'm sorry for the negative come back! I'll post more later, TP

Well that was funny!

Who wants pizza?

Easy TP...the top can get a little lonely! No reason to get your unders in a bunders.

Abe Lincoln said, "you can call a dog's tail a leg, but at the end of the day he still only has 4 legs!"

You are still the man. Just cuz someone said you got beat doesn't mean you got beat!

Get some rest, eat some food, drink some water, and relax!

I've already lived my fantasy...............there I was, in the gate at the Utah state championship Finals........ next to me is Steve Spencer........and some other fillers...........the gate drops........everything kind of goes slow motion after that (just like most races that I'm in).........I roll this....I roll that......I rail turns.......finish line coming up......panting......I'm in the lead............panting harder........cross the finish line.......State Champion...........trying to smile through all of the weezing...lol

OK, so Steve said he hurt his pinky toe or something during a moto (aka let me win).....and no one beside me qualified for the champion plate......but you said FANTASY right? so what if in my fantasy everyting is slow mo???

Next on my list, TP goes down.........haaaaarrrrrr

LMAO...I know you know THIS is a JOKE TP!! <<don't hurt me>>

Stout and Greg,

We know it's all in good fun and I don't have a problem with that. Most of the time I'm the first to make fun of myself. I just don't like it when someone takes a shot at me or my racing sitting behind a keyboard Talking about something that happened four years ago.

For those of you that know me and know some of the things I do for bmx and the riders I don't have to defend myself. For the ones who THINK they know anything about me from afar be careful who you judge. I don't have to beat my own drum when it comes to off the track contributions. That isn't why I do them.

When it comes to on the track stuff----my performance speaks for it's self. And if you don't ride please don't waste your breath. Have a wonderful day!!! TP
