COG Gathering

Postby ogr13 » Sat Aug 18, 2012 10:48 am

Calling all Crazy Old Guys (& Gals)...
I have rented Rad Canyon BMX track on Sunday, 8/26, from 9 AM until Noon.
No kids, just those of us old enough to know better and doing it anyways!
The per person cost will depend on how many show up. Plan on about $10.
Not looking to make any money, just to cover the rental. Extra monies will be refunded, or could go towards pizzas for all.
This is not a clinic, it's 3 hours to spend some time working on your skills (and hanging out with like minded folks).

Please contact me at Dave@crazyoldguys.com if you are interested.
Let's get back to playin bikes!

Work on bike skill too, I must.

See you all there. Just make sure that you give me a bit of room. I haven't been on the track for 3 months, so there are bound to be a few squirrel fest moments while I get my bearings.

Thanks to all that participated! It was nice to see some of the original COGs back on the track.
A big "thanks" to Jason Melton for the pizza!
I was a little disapointed in the turn-out until I heard how late DP ran on Saturday.
A great time was had by all and , if there is enough interest, we will schedule another.

definitely interested in another. I would've come out, but we didn't get back to Layton until 12:30 and one of the kids was hurting all night.

It was a good time. Worked the 3rd straight. Feeling more and more comfortable doing the "double, pump, double, plumb, double, double."

We definitely missed many of you, like Alveys, Clift and more...

Thanks Dave and Jonas and Jason Melton and you COGs who just want to play bikes.

Thanks Dave for getting this organized. It was great to get out on the bike and have some fun with the COGs.

Dallas, thank you for the pointers, and the encouragement. I could feel the difference by the end of the day. It's always good to know that everyone is so willing to lend a hand and throw out some advice.

I can't wait until the next round so I can work on a few more areas that I need to smooth out.

I'd be down if it were on a Saturday, say like Sept 22 . . .

As long as the stars align and I have the time off, I'd be glad to hit another one. With all of this time away, I found out I need a lot more work than I thought.
