Yeah it was for sure not me. I don't think it was BJ Barkley that crashed at the clinic, he helped the guy out on the stretcher. I don't remember if he crashed Sat. night though.

The guy that crashed in the clinic is in the age group up from us. BJ did help him at the clinic. The race that night is when bj took the bike to the chest and wreaked, which sucks cause before the race he was hurting pretty bad from his surgery and sore from the clinic. I wish them both well. I knew the guy that crashed in the clinic but don't remember his name, but a really nice guy. And bj, well he is in our 28-35 nov class so that makes him family, best wishes to them both.

But on a different note i picked up two sponsors, i am so excited. I have spent my day designing my jersey and getting the specs of how they want there name displayed. :P Now i just need to really step up my game and make them proud.

tell us about your sponsors and how the whole thing went down. I'm clueless when it comes to sponsors.

Dealertrack and Pro finish. I work for dealertrack doing hardware and networking, and just approached them on the level of it would be advertising for them, they had certain standers they want me to follow, like stay out of trouble and and if i ever get interviewed watch what I say and stuff like that. And the other is a family business, so it was not too bad, but i still need to be good, not get in trouble and keep it clean, which is no worries for me. There are a few others I am going to talk to, but we will see. Ether way i really need to step up my game.

anyone bringing exposure to companies (and people) outside of the BMX world is doing a good thing--so long as you are putting a good, positive face on it.

BMX trophies, next to a pile of "how to get started racing" brochures in a business is always a conversation piece and a good starting point for many.

Keep it up!

I think I am putting a positive face to it, plus I have no time to get into trouble because I do BMX instead. I really do try hard to be a good sport and friendly with the others in our class, but how could you not? Our sport is filled with great people, except for whoever stole my ballistics jacket :x they are not so nice.

I love that everyone is so pumped on racing! We have a great program and I would like to thank you all for being a part of it. If there is ever anything I can do for any of you guys please ask me. Hey wreaker if you don't get your jacket back hit me up at Lake Town and I will get you one for really cheap because that sucks way bad. Well guys train hard, stay positive and have a good off season.

Thanks BJ, I may do that. It was kinda my fault for leaving it though. So it is no worries. But I do want to come check out your store for some gear I need.

You do more than enough with the killer deals at laketown, and the amazing announcing. It's so fun to be setting up for a pass, then to hear you get excited and announce it, and it just gives me a boost of energy.

Good for you Brett, I'm sure that you'll represent both companies well.

That's pretty cool that your employer is so supportive of your racing. I think that's pretty exceptional for a business to do, particularly in this economic climate.

I totally agree! The announcing certainly helps boost the energy at the track. You do a great job BJ. I love re-watching the videos of the races. Your commentating cracks me up. After steve wrecked last friday, you say "that's going to look cool"! Seriously made me laugh, in a good way.

Yeah I thought it was pretty nice of them to pick me, even this early on when i am still a novice, (and might be for a while. ) So I thought It would be cool if I gave them one of my custom jerseys after they are done. Which are turning out to be pretty sick looking... I have had fun making it.

It does look cool. If only Qwest wouldn't take 5 hours to upload a 15 min video you'd be able to see it by now.

Hey I was wondering does lake town tighten spokes on wheels and do tune up's? I have a few spokes that need to be adjusted after my last wreck with Logan.
