Do we have any 28-35's who are heading to salina on the 3rd? I think my ribs will have healed enough to be able to get back on the bike.

cool, I hope you make it down Todd. There are some locals down there that are quick! Hopefully we have 3 at least in our class.

Ouch Steve! Did you break a rib in the first moto? Nice job taking 2nd in the main after a fall like that.

No, I won't be heading down to Salina this weekend. Good luck to whoever is going. I'm planning on racing Dec 9th and/or 10th, might be the first race for my daughter. Looking forward to it.

I don't know if I cracked or bruised my rib, but I think I tore the cartlidge holding my rib cage together a little bit. I still can't do a sit-up, but I can at least cough without it hurting too bad now. Gotta love getting old

Funny thing is, it took 2 days to realize I hurt my ribs. I had so much adrenaline that I was pretty nervous for the rest of the night. I hate that feeling after a crash, when you know you have to push on through it, but your brain is sketching you out and your hands start shaking. Ever since then, I get nervous thinking about being on the starting gate. Even watching the grands, I got a pit in my stomach watching those guys get set up on the gate.

I'd LOVE to see that crash from another angle. If anyone has it on film, let me know. I still don't know what happened.

I do clinics/practice at about 80-9% full speed so I can save my energy for the main. It's obvious that I need to start practicing at 100% so I don't get myself in a situation where I'm realizing "wow, I've never tackled this obstacle this fast before." I guess I need to build up my endurance before I get to that stage though... I don't know why I was charging so hard on a qualifying moto. I can't wait 'till I can go full out on my practice laps, and still not be tired for the main. That'll be the day.

Would have been cool to at least see my tire creep into view a time or 2.

I see your back tire at 24 sec into the video. You and TD were hanging with the pack! Then at 37 sec, you're in the ryhthm, still hanging with the pack. I'm impressed you were so close on their heels. How close were you to us in the main?

Give it a race or two and you'll see more than a little of your tire creeping in on my videos. That was my 4th race, and I assume Jeremy has had at least 4 races. i think Jason (the guy who I BARELY beat in the main) said it was his second race. It's always good to get your first race over with and watch how quickly you progress from there.

when I check google maps, it shows Rock springs as 4 hours away, and salina as 2 hours away. Am I reading that right? I'd really like to try the wyoming track.

I'm not sure, it's all a blur. Even right after the race it feels like that. It all happens so fast. In the main, I did notice that someone up ahead was getting passed. I think as you guys were heading out of the last turn, I was heading into it. I'm guessing 20-30 feet behind?? I'd love to see more video to shed more light on how I actually did.

I'll be hitting the treadmill tonight, need to work off this chocolate chip cookie and my coke.
