C.O.G. clinic pics & notes.
What an awesome time today. Gotta give it up to the peeps that put this on. I would love to see another one in Jan/Feb. for sure.
Here was my surprise guest today but I was surprised even more when a long time friend & ex bmxer Brian Terry showed up. Him & I go way back & you heard it here first, this guy is going to make waves in the 41-45 & 20" classes, real fast! It was just as great seeing Justin back on the track after 10 years.
Justin Pearce, co-founder of Utah BMX.com & Brian Terry.
Gate practrice.
The main for the pump race.
.....& the winner is........
....Kevin Dilley.
Most of the clinic today.

Here's a video of the pump lap race from today's clinic. Best clinic I've been to yet.

Just wanted to offer my gratitude to everyone involved in the clinic. I really enjoyed all the fun and learning it offered. Thanks to Heather, Jonas, Steve, and Todd for sharing your vast knowledge and experience with some of us newer riders. Also, I have to thank Jason Melton and Heather for working with me on my gates. I know they are not perfect, but at least now I know what I need to work on to get them where they need to be.
Thanks,
Hal
Thanks,
Hal

That clinic was the best time I've had on a bmx bike. Best clinic I've been to yet, and the track was the funnest I've ever ridden (granted ive only ridden 4). Every clinic I learn one or two new things that really help me.
Is it appropriate to share the tips we learned? I took two pages of notes of what I could remember. Lots of great info.
The two quick things I learned were:
- relax in the gate
- pump through the rhythm with an ugly face

WOW!
What a great time!
Thanks to Heather for helping to get the track reserved!
Thanks again to the insructors, Heather, Jonas & Steve. It's true, you can teach old dogs new tricks.
Thanks to Bruce for the pics & Steve for the vid.
Last, but in no way least, thanks to everybody who participated!
I learned some new skills, met some new people and had an absolute blast!
Perhaps we should do this again...
No worries, we will!
