COG/Ageless Clinic!

Postby ogr13 » Mon Nov 07, 2011 8:40 pm

No, it's not where B2 went after being wrecked by Dallas...
It's a skills clinic for COGs, aka Crazy Old Guys (and women who don't act their age either)!
What's a COG? A racer old enough to know better and doing it anyways. 8)
Usualy, we draw the line at 28 years old but we can make exceptions if the story is good enough.
On Saturday, 11/19, we have scheduled a COG clinic form 11:00AM to 2:00PM.
The clinic will be held at RAD Canyon Indoor and will cost $20.00 per rider.
Topics will include: gates, obstacles, turns and how to respond to the neighbors asking why you are riding your kid's bike.
Instructors will include: Heather, Jonas and a secret (waiting on calendar confirmation) to be named later.
Class size will be limited to 30 riders and ID will be checked at the door.
All abilities welcome (except for the 41 & Over Intermediates, can't have any of you getting faster :P )!
A certain "bnd" has already reserved a slot and seeing him on the track is worth the price of admission!
We will also be giving away (and selling) COG shirts & stickers.
Jonas will have his Ageless t-shirts and stickers there also.
Please contact me to pre-register or with any questions.

Let's go play bikes in the dirt!!

I had my back looked at today (2 bulging discs!) & worked on. I will have ongoing treatment for the next few weeks, if not months. I'll be damned if I miss this clinic.
A few others I'm trying or would like to get into this clinic would be Scott Taul, Jason Gallo, Bryan Wixom & Scott Brown.

I'll be offering my GoPro rental and filming services at the clinic if anyone wants some footage of themselves. I think this would be particularly useful for watching your gate technique and seeing what you're doing right and wrong (not that any of us do anything wrong)

Im thinking the last fifteen minutes of the clinic we will run the pump lap extravaganza. Winner will take home the coveted Pump Lap Champion Trophy.

Pad up, as of late the pump laps have claimed some victims. This should be super rad!
