Relay Race *new info* for next D.P. race on 7-10.

I'm going to continue the Team Relay Race series at the next Deseret Peak BMX race on the 7-10-10 Saturday night. There will be a few new rule changes but I am not going to post those up right now, I'll wait till after this big national weekend is over.

What I do need is for teams to register here before the race. Reason being is because I had to turn a few teams away because we already had 8 registered.
What I'll do if we have over 8 is have a lottery, first 8 to get drawn are in.

New rules will be posted next Monday.

You should take as many teams want to sign up and take the 8 fastest qualifying team times or top 4 finishers from each round into a final. It wont take much longer to run two seperate groups of 8 or less and everybody should be recovered in time for the main.

Just sayin'... dont discriminate, load 'em all in gate, then there wont be no debate... that would be great!

Or possibly look into two classes. One that is an inter/ novice only or limited # of Experts per team class, and another that is an open class that can run the best they can round up. The bonus to making two classes is that it will also allow 16 teams if you have that many interested.

Listen, let's see how many teams are wanting in for now & we will go from there. Iv'e got to take it in baby steps especially at the next D.P. race, it's the RFL & usually the biggest for them of the summer.

bummer! i have my annual work "retreat" that weekend... but at least it's not on the GSL Nat's weekend. I will miss the fun--unless I sluff the last part of it... hmmm.

If you're open for suggestions:

how about a "1 of each" class: 1 expert, 1 inter, 1 nov, 1 girl, 1 cruiser. and then an "open' class- put whoever you want on the team. Another suggestion from last time was having the local teams all put there 5 riders from their team sheets all on a relay team and race head to head for the team trophy.
