UtahBMX.com iPhone app? Show of hands.

I have the opportunity to possibly build a simple iPhone app for the UtahBMX.com site. It would probably start off as a basic RSS feed of the forums, but could turn into more down the road.

Do we have enough iPhone users here that would be interested in something like this?

Just FYI, it would cost me about $200 to do this, but I *may" be able to make that back over time if I include ads in the app.

Ok, let me work on seeing exactly what it is going to take to make this happen. I've already starting working on the various RSS feeds to populate the app, and once that is finished I can mock up the app and see how it looks.

If anyone has any further comments or suggestions definitely let me know!

Getting race results on there would be awesome! A changing pic of the day or week? Upcoming events and race times? A game that lets you race the outdoor track, and we could all race each other when we're not really racing! Sorry that probably sounds dumb, just brainstorming Obviously for those of us that read the forums daily that would need to be there. Link to the ABA website may be a good idea Maybe this all sounds dumb, but I have nothing better to do. I am currently very slow and bored at work

Wow, lots of good stuff there Stiles!! I'll see what i can do.

For now, the app will just consist of RSS feeds of the forums (and possible specific sections of the forums as requested, i.e. maybe something just dedicated to pics?). This is basically what I can get for cheap, without having to "custom" program the app.

As always, comments or suggestions are welcome, and I'm going to work on the app over the next few weeks and try out some different things. If all goes well, we can put this into effect (and in the iTunes app store) fairly soon.
