Got rain?
The weeks weather reminded me of this trip I took 8 years ago. I went & visited my friend Jay in Louisville a week before the NBL Grands. He lives about 5 miles away from Derby BMX. Anyways, the day before we drove 2 hrs to Evansville, Indiana to race there & it got rained out. So the next day all looked good until 5 minutes before the race & the clouds let loose. Not only did it pour, there was lightning, thunder & a tornado warning!
Needless to say I didn't get to race that trip but I was able to ride a couple of really cool tracks.

As you can see the track was super hard to get around cleanly.

That's Incredible TV show w/ R.L. Osborn vs. a horse.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fn0H-po5HWY

I remember watching this on prime time TV in 1983, believe it or not it was a big deal.
R.L.'s Dad owned BMX Action magazine & promoted this event so by the time it aired most of the BMX world knew about it. At the time it was pretty cool & all but looking back on it........wow, pretty goofy.

Anyways, enjoy.

I remember this, pretty funny. BMX Action (probably the main magazine BITD) used to have a question for the editor section. About 2 years before the That's Incredible! episode, so guy wrote in about how BMX was OK, but that his horse was always faster. That lead to a running joke every issue for about two years with people arguing what was faster- a Redline or a horse. The reason the video is so funny, is that the tv people seem to be taking it serious while the bmx people knew it was an inside joke.

That track's pretty sketchy, I think if we people the horse up against Robbie/Travis/Christian out at RAD, it wouldn't do so well.
