Last night, a little before 8 PM in the rhythm section, my friend Jared went over the bars. He put out both hands for the impact and ended up with 2 broken elbows... that's right, both elbows broken! He had just picked up a used Redline Bubba Harris and was excited to start racing--he would have been a 25 Novice... instead he'll be out 6 weeks and is supposed to go under the knife tomorrow. The right arm induced a radial head fracture--he broke OFF the little pointy part of the elbow--and had a slight dislocation. The left arm had some "kibbles" in it (not my words, the Docs). What there appears on the film is several bits in the joint. It might need operation, too.
He wanted me express thanks to those of you who helped out with getting him taken care of--you know who you are.
I thank you also.
I hope it isn't a BMX-ending injury but just a little set-back. He's a really good dude and had picked up quite the excitement for BMX.
Later.

Re: Downed Rider Update
I hope all goes well for him. We know the feeling because of what happened to Justin (8 Novice) on July 12th. Tell him we hope for a speedy recovery.

Not good news.
Please send him our best wishes for a good surgeon & a speedy recovery.
