I only raced DP once last year so last week it was almost a year between track visits. Here are some notes to others like me who are on the fence about going out.
- As you probebly read from last weeks race, the track needs just alittle buffing here & there but overall the track rules. New changes on the 3rd, pro & last sections have been a welcome sight. There is something for the beginner to the Pro rider if you come out.
- Darrin keeps the track open after the races are long over. As long as your there, he is happy to let people ride. We left at 11:15pm & there must of been 15-20 riders still on the track w/ the gate still going.
- Bring a BBQ & relax after the races! The Kellys had a nice fire pit going on & were just chillin'.
- The bugs are already out so bring mosquito spray!
- As you get off of the freeway on the McDonalds side ther is a new Del Taco a few blocks west of it. It's open all night so that's a nice option.
- As your leaving that area on the other side of the road there is a Shell gas station & that has always been our "pit stop" before hitting the freeway. Well they totally remodeled that place into like a Maverik store now. It's really, really nice inside with killer bathrooms & a huge selection of drinks, food & anything else.
It's the 10th Anny of the track & as long as the County sees the moto counts going up every year the track gets taken off the chopping block. It's a huge deal that the non-locals come out & support this place. Can we get 30 motos this Saturday night? I don't know but I do know I'll be out there w/ platform Vinnie & Scott Brown. Mike can't make it.
See you later,
b.

We missed last weeks race, but you can count on Chantz being out there tonight.
