Copenhagen vs Kobenhavn

Traveling is always such a blowout, the person that invents a drug to automatically re-set our biological clocks when traveling across time zones will be rich. Made it in to Copenhagen yesterday around 2pm, from then on it was just a game to see how long we could stay awake. We cruised over to the track which was all covered in tarps from the .25" rain they have been getting ....

Yesh, beleive she is. She may not be 100% but she has been at the OTC all month rehabing and training and feels fast. I have my fingers crossed.

Re: UCI SX Copenhagen
I was hoping to see her in Bakersfield, but knowing she's just coming off of her broken heels, well, I was actually surprised to read that she's been training at the OTC let alone going to Copenhagen...
Re: UCI SX Copenhagen
Bakersfield was never in the plans as she was Matron of honor at Staci Patton's wedding the same weekend in Oklahoma and we were both there. You may not remember Staci , Brent, but she was pretty much queen of female amature racing for many years with numerous AM titles before retiring after a brief stint in the pro ranks. Casey Martin Harris ( Bubba's wife) and Christina Sue, both ex racer's, were also in the bridal party. Besides, lol, Bakersfield is well..... Bakersfield, hahah and not the most favorite of ABA locations. Did you have a good weekend anyway? I heard there was some rain? The bridesmaids were all watching motos when they could to see how Bubba and others faired.....
Arielle's heals are healing well. She actually feels better on the bike than she does walking. The OTC docs think that it was a mistake to have ever casted her due to atrophy and the sport she is in but since she was at the mercy of military docs at first, she had no choice. They were able to do some pretty unique types of therapy in California and she got some great weeks of riding in before leaving. I think she is as prepared as she could be , despite the circumstances.

Re: UCI SX Copenhagen
I did see that she was headed to OKC for the wedding. Was Staci out here last Summer when Arielle was hitting some of the media spots?
Bubba did well, got on the podium on Sunday. His brother and I think dad were sitting next to us and they were very excited (his brother could be his twin!).
I'm very excited to know that Arielle is back on the bike and ready to defend her title!
Bakersfield was fun--even the racing in the rain was (for some of us)--which I didn't think I would have liked. Some better finishes would have made it a little better, however. And I think my Monkey-Pig-SARS-Avian-Flu kicked it back up while I was out there...
Go Arielle!!!

Now that you mention the media, I think you did meet Staci and Christina both. Staci was the one with pink hair that went to X96 with us all.
Bubba does not have a brother,as far as I know. He has a bunch of sisters,Kristen , Karen and Annie. I'm not sure who that might have been but he burried a grandparent the day before the race so who knows what extended family may have shown up. He sure has delt with a lot in his life...

Despite the rain over the last few days they have done a good job keeping the track in shape and aside from gusty winds and a few sprinkles the weather held today. The track is one of the best Ritz has done, its technical, fairly fast, and it flows. The girls second straight is a bit tricky with the wind, you really have to be on point and set up perfect in the corner to get through the whole thing. I counted only four girls..... read more here http://www.go211.com/u/ariellemartin
Thanks for your support B! I'm glad you had a good time in CA and I hope you feel better soon!!
