OK, I just seen this tracks website, and it has the race results for every race. Very cool thing in my book.
http://grandvalleybmx.com/
Check out the race results pages.
It seems that the motomaker program can generate race reports in a couple different formats. One is used for race results to be sent to media outlets. I haven't seen it, so not sure exactly how it looks, but this would be very useful in marketing I think.
The other way is an output of all the moto sheets as sent to the ABA in XML format. This could be used like the Grand Valley track is, to display race results including motos and mains.
Anybody else think this would be a very cool feature on UtahBMX.com? Bruce....Gallo.....get on this right away will ya!

Re: race results on UtahBMX.com
This is one of the things I have been wanting to do since 99', with no luck.
Greg, somebody, anybody is going to have to take this upon themselves to geterdone. All my extra time at the track is either chasing Grady around when Danita is racing or video taping.
......& I'm pretty sure Gallo is somewhere in the Amazon jungle with David Lee Roth pondering whether to ever come back to BMX.

David Lee Roth and Gallo are friends again? I thought that ever since Diamond Dave had the hots for his wife they weren't buddies any longer...
Does anyone have some sample data that can come out of Motomaker? Can Ron or Jason email me something? A report? A dump of the file? I'll try to help out...

you meant "Widowmaker" right? anyone that can manage that nightmare is a hero in my book (props to the RC crew). You can download your very own copy free of charge from: http://motomaker.com/Download%20Images/MotoMaker%20A.03.09.07.exe
with some luck the new version will be a different animal than the one I pulled down early '08

Re: race results on UtahBMX.com
I messed around with this in '05/'06 and it became apparent that a process would need to be set up where an export of the race results would need to be sent from registration to someone who could extrapolate the data into a browser-readable format.
What you guys need to do, and I know you can do this, is show the people in registration how to do the export (and provide the media since the Rad Motomaker is not connected via internet), and then make it happen. Again, I have faith. Between Brent and Brian, you guys can do this!

Huh? Even I don't get that reference.... HAHA
Unfortunately I'm still working the 6 day a week schedule so any extracurricular activity is just about impossible.
I've asked a few times about this and was told it wasn't possible. I think the issue is exactly what Curtis described; just a form of export, either to paper or digital format. However, like alot of things that are possible, it simply comes down to someone being able to just do it. I'm not in a position to be able to assist with the exporting procedure, but if someone can get me the results (either on paper or digital format), I can make it happen to the web. All it looks like Grand Valley is doing is just printing the results, and then scanning the sheets into a .pdf format for posting, which is very easy to do.
I have to take my wife to the airport tomorrow am, but I'm going to try and swing by the track on the way home

Re: race results on UtahBMX.com
If RC is willing to print the results to a virtual printer we can install one of several free PDF printers. Works just the same as print to file, but will convert to PDF. That, a thumb drive, and delivery of the files would get the job done.

In whose possession are the computer(s) that contain this data?

The machines are in the hands of Rad.
Brent - I think what is going to have to happen to get this done is to have you, or someone, coordinate with registration. You could either try the XML export, or just install CutePDF and print to that. What I am uncertain on is when they actually enter the results. It is probably right after the race since the time to report to the ABA is fairly short - I think two days.

Well, we've got it all figured out, we just needs to get our hands on that computer... Who's closest to it? I'm in Holladay and commute to and from Bountiful...
