Re: A.B.A. Grands
Just been txting Christian all I know is that he made his mains in both class and cruiser. haven't gotten an update from him yet.
Re: A.B.A. Grands
Maybe we can get some updates once everyone is in their rooms and showered up?
Re: A.B.A. Grands
I think I saw Brinlee Fordham take 4th in 9 girls. Mitch took 3rd in cruiser (on his MTB). Mike Kelly was in 3rd and went down hard in a turn. Heather took 6th on her 20". Those are the one's I saw while checking go211 on and off through the day. The pros race at 6pm ut time tonight.

Also saw Hunter Brown get third on his 20", Miles Dunehew 4th open and 4th class I believe, Heather had a 20 bike length victory on Cruiser, Bennett Newkirk I believe was 4th or 5th on 20, and Robbie Patterson on 20 got 3rd I believe.

Bennett made it out on both open and class today. Zac made it out on both class and cruiser today. Heather made it out on cruiser and had a hard wreck on class but is doing okay. Mitch had the sickest lap of all today coming from behind on his 20 inch (That he has rode 3 laps on) and making a pass on the last straight to qualify out. Cody Kelley made it out on cruiser in the second round. Christian made it out on cruiser and will race class again in the morning.yuri made it out to semi's

Re: A.B.A. Grands
To those viewing that are new to a Grands format, the simple version is this: Friday is the Race of Champions, or ROC. For Amateur races, this is a glory race with no national points on the line. Pro's do get points, and Am's get local points, and if they win, a ROC #1 plate.
Saturday and Sunday are the Grands. This year it is 490 motos, which is I think the largest I have seen in the four years we have come. The race is big enough to take two days, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday hosts only Moto's #1 and #2, Sunday hosts Moto #3, 1/8th's, 1/4's, Semi's, and Mains. In most groups, it is required that you win a moto to advance. With three transfer moto's, you better hope you are one of the three fastest people in your posted moto Saturday morning. A lot of good racers get sent packing because they are in a stacked qualifying moto - ask me how I know
Utah is fairing well. I am not going to get into specifics, but some have transferred, and some are waiting for Sunday's 3rd round to go. Anna transferred 1st round with an unbelievable ride. She crashed in the ROC yesterday battling for the lead into the first turn, but had a smile on her face when she crossed the finish line. She knows she is ready for the Grands. Bennett transferred in Open and Class in the 2nd round. Charlie has battled all day, but will go into the third round tomorrow with a good shot at making the Semi. Zach put in an unreal last straight pull to make it out of class in the 2nd round. Mike K is out, Heather is out, and all of the rest people have mentioned.
Should be a good day tomorrow. I will try to post more if I survive.
