MHP,

I think we will be down that weekend. How long is the track open for practice before and after the race? Also, can the track be ridden anytime - i.e. Open practice?

Thanks!

We were going to head down on 3/22. How much is a membership for NBL? Is it worth getting one for 1-2 races?

Justin,

It is the same as the ABA at $45. I am unsure if there is a discount for other family members though. They also have a one-day license.

As far as value, there are two NBL tracks in Vegas and both of them hold nationals. There is another NBL track in Ely. Getting a NAG plate in the NBL is somewhat more simple and less costly too.

Are you and the kids bringing the MTB's? I think we will and try to hit up Gooseberry Mesa on Sunday.

For those that want to come ride we have a bring a buddy program and can give you your first race free ( ask for Wendy ) . Also you can buy a 1 month membership for $30.00 and if you decide you want a full membership you pay the additional $15.00 2nd family member is $42.00 per year and 3rd family member or more is $40.00 .

Are big race of the year is on 5/31/08 and we will have 2 races on that day come camp out in the parking lot and stay the weekend . Prerace on 5/30/08 .

As for being open we have had a lot of problems latley and have locked the gate :x The track is opened 2 hours before the race and at least 1 hour after the race . Open practice is every wednesdays $ 2.00 . We go to the track at least 2 times a week and can let you in when where there also call Wendy @ 435 635 3020

Thanks MHP

P.S. Wendy is my wife so please be nice to her so I don't get in trouble .

We were in Virgin racing this weekend. The boys really like the track and the red mountains in the back ground make for some awsome pics.
There is a Nevada state race in nellis on March 29th (NBL) We will be hitting that one for sure. Moshers

That's a good idea, we were going to hang out for the weekend, but I didn't think of Gooseberry. This is certainly the time of year.

Is Bennett going to be able to ride?

With any luck at all Bennett *should* get clearance to ride tomorrow. If he does, we are planning on Rock Springs this weekend to get him back on the bike. Are you guys heading to RS?

Gooseberry is a must do, but I just realized that Sunday the 23rd is Easter so if we do it, Saturday will have to be the day and head back Saturday night.

It's light until almost 8pm now, so that might work.

FYI, if you go to a NBL national and you have NEVER had a NBL licence, but you are an ABA member, you can get a 1 year NBL membership waived. This is ONLY if you go to a NBL national. It doesn't count for the regional.
This is how we did it for our 7 year old son. We raced Christmas classic in Col. Ohio and showed them our ABA license, and we got our free NBL license for a whole year!
