Rock songs of the week

Postby J Gallo » Mon Sep 20, 2004 2:20 pm

2 songs I couldn't stop listening to this weekend:

"Breaking the Habit" by Linkin Park

"Ocean Avenue" by Yellowcard

I even loaded them up on my mp3 player and have continued listening to them today at work .... over.... and over.... and over.... :)

I'm not sure what the title of it is, but I call it the 'Dad' song.

"What's a dad for dad, tell me why I'm here dad, whisper in my ear dad, I'm growing up to be a better man dad, everything is fine dad, glad that you are my dad cause I know I'm growing up to be a better man, I am...."

It's a great song!

Too funny! As I pulled up this post to read it, American Idiot was playing on 105.7!

Here's a couple more I've been listening to:

"Same Direction" by Hoobastank

"Rock Star" by NERD (Jason Nevins Remix).

Happy Listening!

Justin has been walking around this week singing

"I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be 5"

to the tune of 1985. He's trying hard to pick up the words. He thinks he's pretty cool when he sings into anything he can find that resembles a mic.

I still do that too  .... and

"I'm gonna be....
I'm gonna be....
I'm gonna be ..... 35" :)

(Well, in a year and 2 weeks anyway) :P

Justin is always asking me to sing the "flag song from the races" into a big spoon or something. He loves to hear the national anthem. He says that's his favorite part of the races. He heard it before the World Series and dropped his toys and stood in front of the tv and just stared....and no, I did not watch the World Series. BORING!

If anyone out there listens to X96, have you heard:

"Coin Operated Boy" by the Dresden Dolls

Don't ask me why, but I love this song! :) :?

My favorite song for this week would have to be Simple Plan's "Welcome to my life."

Anybody else out there love that song?
Dani
