Quick Points Question

Postby rubbersidedown » Fri Jan 18, 2008 12:57 pm

I was just looking at the ABA points and noticed that I am at #15 UT02 Cruiser. Is that my new number for 2008? I had originally checked after our final race was posted and I was at #16, which I ran at the the last race. Hmmm? Oh yeah, I guess I did not get a chance to race last time anyhow since I cannot get out of the gate properly.

That may or may not be your number for 08. We have to wait for the aba to tells us those are the final numbers first.
You should still be running 07's numbers till they posted the final numbers and notify the tracks

It says "final points" on the aba website. Does that mean we can put the new numbers on for this weekend?

You may now run your new district numbers.

That's what it says. I guess that means yes?

If these numbers are the district numbers, then what happens when two numbers collide? Perfect example, both Joe Ludwig and I race the same class and are both listed as 102, he in UT02 and I in UT01. And, like, zoiks, scoob! We have a near miss with his boy and mine... his boy is 117 and mine is 116--and THEY ALSO race the same class as each other. Twilight Zone?!

I'm rambling... I'm good at that.

Or am I reading it wrong?

well, which one? The guy who gets there first? The X is COOL so is it the first guy or the second guy? Or could I say "Joe's also 102 and cuz X's are cool I want to be 102x. So, can I please have it before he gets here and wants the X?" :twisted:

I am calling for a UTBMXdotCOM Moderator Alert here. This B2 guy needs to be watched closely as he is obviously a troublemaker, and quite possibly a troll.

I will also warn the registration volunteers that the guy insisting on the "X" could potentially cause a scene, and that Event Complex security should be on-site when he arrives.

Both of my kids ended up with "X numbers" for the past year. I've heard that for the old guys, they give it to the highest bidder...

Courtney and Brighton in the photo will both be #7 this year, so one of them will be a 7X.

So should you change your name to bxb?
Will the nice, knowledgable, good looking announcer man now refer to you as "the troll" when you participate in the 28 & over games? (I will bring cash if complimenting Mr Newkirk is not enough...)
I'm just jealous of your lower number and your better finish last time we raced!
See ya this weekend!

i might have to start disliking you, Mr. Cote! :x

If it makes you feel any better, here's how we'd stack up if it was one district...

you=197
me=251

see ya at the track, 119.

The X goes by home track. Rad Canyon is in the UT02 district so a rider in UT02 racing at Rad Canyon is at his/her home track. The rider in UT01 or out of town would ride the X. The people you have named are all in UT01 district. Registration ladies do not pick they go by the district.

The above rule does'nt apply at Nationals.
The ABA randomly assign letters.
