Dan's post got me wondering a little more about dirt jump places... Alvey mentioned i-Street but I didn't know where it was.. I googled a little and found some one posting on pinkbike.com (which appears to be Mt. Biking/Downhilling?) He was showing a lot of pix from i-Street but still no location... so, know a little about the avenues I jumped to google maps and followed i-Street up the hill--and on satellite mode it looked like trails.

Don't know if I'll get out there anytime soon (there's a good layer of leaves that need to come off the ground right now before this apparent storm comes in). But maybe we can give it a shot if the ground doesn't get too wet...

Go to SLC avenues. Head North on I st. Eventually, around 12th ave or so, Ist curves West (becomes Northhills Drive), then loops around 180 and heads east (becomes Northmont Way). In about 1-2 blocks, you will pass an LDS church on the North side of the road. Just past that, turn in to the Bonneville shoreline trailhead and park. You'll see a big buried water tank there. Ride around it (just to the northwest of it) and you're there. Both MTB and BMX people are usually there.

Here are some recent pics (click on the "44 minutes with Von Williams" link):

If you have google earth, go to 40deg 47'29.13"N and 111deg 52'17.13"W

Justin,

Was reading through the '10 Days in Utah'. Pretty cool stuff. Are they serious on 'Day 1 - Shredding' that John Huntsman Jr. is an I-Street shredder?

If so, wow!

Yep! Ol' JHJ is a MTB jammer! He rips on a moto-x bike too and so does his dad.

I couldn't stand it! I had to go ride some dirt and get some air time on a bike- so I did!

90th south jumps were just the right size to get me back on track!

I street is meant more for mountain bikes because it is sandy up there. but a few friends and i have ridden up there and checked it out and they are pretty fun. just be sure you have a car to get up that huuuge hill because its not very fun riding up it. its way fun riding down though
