A Novice Poem

Postby J Gallo » Sat Sep 18, 2004 7:10 pm

I'm kinda slow, I lack great skill
but I'll be on the gate, in the moto for fill
I'm outta the gate, already a bike length behind
a view of Ian's backside, is pretty good I find
over the step-up I go, I can't believe I catch air
yes Rick I know, 'bout as likely as Bigfoot hair
The cheers of the crowd, I can hear them say
Go Ian! Go Bryan! Go Rick and JJ!
I try to keep pace, as they pull ahead
but I'm far behind, my legs full of lead
One of these days, I'll be in the mix
I'll write a check for a race to fix!

Jason, You should write a book. All you need for this poem now are some pictures.
