I just checked out Red Butte Gardens Concert series, wow!
Some I am very interested in for sure is Dwight Yoakam, Merle Haggard, George Thuragood, Earth Wind & Fire & Steely Dan(!)....Damn!
Anybody know or have heard who's coming thru town? Let's hear about it.
I also just saw that one of my all time fav bands, Ugly Kid Joe put out a new album. They broke up in the mid 90's after putting out 2 killer CD's.

You'll have to go to those on your own, Bruce!
Recently hit Bad Religion and Face to Face (two different shows). Dropkick Murphy's on May 28.
I use the apps Bandsintown and SockKick for concert alerts. Anyone heard of Aesop Rock? I'd probably go check out their show tomorrow, or Powerman 5000 but I'm hoping to make it to the track after the little one's soccer.
Also upcoming on my list of "maybe":
Built to Spill (May 12)
The Shins (May 13)
Alkaline Trio (June 5)
John Spencer Blues Explosion (June 14)
Warped Tour (June 29)
Rancid (July 19&20)
311 & Cypress Hill (July 30)
Fun. (Aug 23)
other considerations: The Postal Service, Middle Class Rut, Alice Cooper & Marilyn Manson, Fall Out Boy, Kelly Clarkson (for you, Bruce!), how about "Americanarama Festival of Music" with Bob Dylan, Wilco, My Morning Jacket..., The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Tour with Alice In Chains, Jane's Addiction, Coheed and Cambria, and more..., Muse and Cage the Elephant, Animal Collective, The Melvins, Ratt, They Might Be Giants...
LOTS of good shows this summer.

Brent,
I've seen half of those groups you mentioned.
Overkill is still around!?
Btw, Steely Dan sold out in 2 hrs.......75 bucks for the cheap seats too.

Did Bruce just ask if overkill is still around in the same post that he was talking about Steely Dan?

June 21 Killswitch Engage
July 2 Rockstar Mayhem fest (Boise) Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, Mastodon, Machinehead, Battlecross, Emmure, Exile, Huntress, The Sword

I think you would be very surprised with what's on my Ipod.
I have early Overkill, listened to the best of the Chuck Berry yesterday & 2 Live Crews, As nasty as they wanna be today. Seems to me off the top of my head the lead singer of the Dropkick Murphs was the kid who sang on Fastways 1st album. I drove by the E-Center & saw that Megadeth & Black Label Society are coming. I also heard a rumor that Zach Wilde might be in as Dimebags replacement for a Pantera reunion.

I heard that the Zach Wilde/Pantera thing is in no way gonna happen. There's too much bad blood between Vinnie and Phil.

I thought that too, esp after watching Behind the Music but that's what Zach said in a recent interview. I never got the chance to see Pantera & that would be great to see that. That tour would be fricking HUGE.

Nov. 18th.
I just picked up my tickets at the Maverik Center box office, saved about $20 per from doing it online.
This concert is going to kick ass if your into Priest & Panther.
Here's a fact, Satchel the lead guitarist of Steel Panther, was the lead guitarist for Fight, Halfords first band he put together after leaving Priest in the early 90's.
