Does anyone know of a beginner BMX class in the Salt Lake valley? Or would I just show up to practice and wing it?

I assume you're asking specifically for BMX racing? I recommend you come out to the track, talk to some of the people, ask for pointers, see when Heather Allred is doing another clinic or ask her for a private one (?). With the indoor season upon us we don't have dedicated practice days--practice is prior to racing on race days at this point.
