Ode to BMX
This poem is cheezy,
Like coughing is wheezy,
Nothing rymes with X,
Except for BMX,
Which really isn't a rhyme,
Like and hour is time,
I know this makes no sense,
But this is in past- tense
[Ode To BMX
What is up with that X?
Your up in the gate,
Life seems slow and you have to wait,
Your pulse is racing,
Your mind is spacing
Adrenaline rushes through your veins,
Your hands are cold now,
Your mind is bold now,
You know who you have to race,
You slide into the gate,
You breathe and sit and wait,
But before you are ready the cadence begins,
"Okay riders let's set 'em up"
(Nothing really rymes with 'Up')
Your pulse begins to race again,
"On the gate"
There's no wait
You're about ready to go,
Am I clipped in?
Am I ready to dive right in?
"Riders ready?"
No, why would i be ready?
"Watch the light."
Now here's the fight,
The race out of the gate
There's no longer any wait.
Pedal- pedal- breathe- go!
With BMX racing you never know-
What will you do with the time in between?
Whatever you do, try not to be too mean...
