The Utah Cyclo Cross Series has just started and they have a great juniors program thru Canyon Bicycles of Draper. The junior can race for $5.00 and they can use a cycle cross bike for FREE. You can find more information at www.utahcyclocross.com. The next race is at Rocky Mountain Raceway. The juniors start at 9:30 AM. Canyon Bicycles of Draper is also offering cyclo cross Practice at Draper Park on Thursday night at 5:00 PM. Juniors can also use the bikes for the practice. Just meet at the shop before 5:00 PM so you can be fitted with the correct bicycle. You can call the shop for more info @ 801.576.8844.
This is a great way to work on your BMX skills and endurance with the Grands and indoor season coming up. Logan Owen of Washington, a top 10 NAG rider, won a national title in cyclo cross 2006 in his age group.

They also have Men, Women, Masters and Beginner classes.

The cross race on Saturday was a great course at the RMR. There is two races this weeking. Saturday is at Fort Buenabentura in Odgen. Sunday is at Wheeler Farm in SLC. The Juniors Race at 9:30 AM both days. Canyon Bicycles of Draper will let any Junior use a cross bike for FREE. Canyon Bicycles is also offering a cyclo cross pratice every Thursday at 5:00 PM. Please arrive too the shop just be for 5:00 so your Junior can be fitted with the correct size of bike. You can watch a video clip on youtube.com to see what it all about.
