OGIO and Steve Spencer combine to open up new track??????

Postby greg » Thu Jul 28, 2005 5:15 pm

Taken from BMXnews.com in regards to O'GIO's new affiliation with the ABA. Seems that there are some things cooking......or am I just not in the know and this is old news?

OGIO’s Director of Sales, Luke Edgar was enthusiastic in saying, "We're so stoked on our partnership and what the ABA is doing we're trying to figure out were to put up our own course to add to our street park and foam pit!

and

OGIO’s BMX racing efforts will be coordinated through rider/rep Steve Spencer. A 25-year veteran of the sport and industry Steve says, “I am honored to be a part of OGIO’s involvement in BMX racing efforts and plan to spread the word of the OGIO gospel”.

Is this what you were refering to Bruce when you mentioned something about a track to replace Lindon? It would be very cool to have a track in a BMX complex run by OGIO.

This is not what I was referring to Greg but it's a great idea. I hope this all works out for Steve.

BTW, Vince can't get a break on his last 2 races. A crash while overtaking the leader Tuesday resulted in a 3rd. Tonight, racing a older racer, he went 2-1-2 in low points......

Xavier Archabeck (s/p) was out at the track tonight. Haven't seen the kid in almost 3 years. SUPER nice kid & fast, he's thinking on making a comeback in 13x or Inter.

I'm sure it will work out for Steve, no matter where he goes. Seems to be very liked among his peers everywhere. I just seen the press release, and was hoping to prod him and OGIO in the right direction. It didn't really sound like anything was serious, but maybe with a little push this could happen.

Vince is a good kid, I'm sure he'll make X soon. The 13Is seem to be pretty close, so splitting the wins makes it tough to get those last few.

I remember Archabeck. Well, I remember the name, cant quite remember what he looks like. It's always good to fill up the ranks with more riders. Makes it that much more fun to race.
