Greg - Are you OK dude!!? Holy crap, I thought you were on your way to broken collarboneville with that crash. I hope your ok & if you want alittle advice, stop airing it out down the first straight when you have a holeshot like that.

Spence - Sucks crashing a brand new bike, eh?

Vincent & the 13I class main. Was that off the hook or what? Ostler, Vince & that kid on the red "Redline" all skyed the second straight like experts with Vince taking a digger right before the last one. It's nice seeing the inters stepping it up.

yep, I thought I was toast. I wasn't too worried about my shoulder, but my ribs took a pretty good shot. I was sucking wind like I have never sucked wind before. I'm not sure how loud I was, but the weezing was echoing in my helmut pretty loud.

I think I'll take your advice, b. No airing out ANYTHING when I have a holeshot. 'course we all know that wont happen again anytime soon. lol I think the big problem was that I am always suprised when both my tires leave the ground at the same time. I didn't know how to react to all of the new things happening.......tires off the ground, me in first on the first straight, etc..........just too much for my mind to handle..........then BOOOM...welcome back to earth!!

Spencer is having real problems with the double in the second straight. For some reason he is twisting his body in air, and popping out of his pedal. His speed in the second straight is terrible too. It is something we definately have to work on. I'm pretty proud of him, though. I think he is progressing well. His start and first straight is decent, and his attitude is great. He's having fun, and as long as he is, we'll be racing.

Vince is looking good. I definately think he is ready to move up. Put a bug in his ear and get him up to expert, will ya. Stop waiting for those measly 4 more wins. If he's ready, he's ready. Be a man, step up!

Just remember this advice is coming from the State Champ AA novice. lol I should take my own advice, huh. I'm sure Vince will be expert soon enough.

Actually, Vince has thought about moving himself up but he's been racing off & on since he was 4 1/2 & turning expert is going to be a big thing in our family, esp with my Mom. She was there when I turned & has stated she wants to be there when Vince turns. When I turned in 84' for the first time, Ron Melton was the one who introduced me on top of the wooden table at the Fairgrounds indoors & I would like to see Jason do the same for Vince (we still have to talk about this! lol).

Spencer has got to have the best 'tude of any kid out there bar none. I see kids crying & throwing their bikes when they don't win. Spencer ranks right up there with Travis Healey & Steve as having a great attitude when it comes to racing. A whole slew of kids are ready to turn expert & Spencer has just got to ride it out until then, trust me, I'm hoping it comes for Vince ASAP!

I'm glad your OK & Iv'e been there many a time & even squirted a tear or 2 after getting the air knocked outta me over the years. Just don't tell anyone, ok?

you know, that is one thing I really regret is not making more of Spencer turning expert. He moved himself up at the end of last year, and didn't really get any kind of recognition for his achievements. He just felt like he was ready and wanted the challange of racing the best. I was, and still am, very proud of him. He turned with 20 wins, still needing 5 more to hit the ABA max allowable. I know it would have been a big day for him to stand up on a platform and be announced as being the "newest expert", I just didn't really think of it at the time. Stupid me!

So, I guess what I am saying is that you should make it a big deal when Vince turns. You know first hand how big of an echievment it is, so don't let it seem like anything less.

Oh, and Spencer says to all of the kids turning soon

"Good Luck"

and I think he meant it in a menacing way! lol Bring it on, dudes!
