BMX History Help!!

Postby D Cook » Wed Apr 06, 2005 10:51 am

Hi all,

As you all know we have scheduled our State Qualifier and our Redline Cup Qualifier for Aug 5th and 6th.

We are holding a BMX Champ Camp on Friday afternoon Aug 5 before our State Qualifier, the classes we are offering are Nutrition, Exercise, First Aid, Bicycle Safety, Bike Maintenance, and The History of BMX, It is going to be from 3-5 pm and I need people to help teach classes.

I may have locals for all but "The History of BMX" if you could help with anything to do with this, Pictures, written history, teaching the class whatever you've got I would be most grateful.

I would also appriciate some help with the Exercise class as I want it to focus on Exercise that works best for BMX or bike riding in general.

I need to get this together really fast, all of this is going to be in a county fair add book that needs to be sent to the printers soon, so if you are able and willing please get back to me soon!

Thanks everyone!

Diana

I just did a presentation in my Sport in Society class about the History of BMX. I made a crappy video for the presentation. It has a lot of crashes on it so It's and attention getter. I also have a lot of printed research on the History of the sport!

Let me know if you want me to teach the class. This is what I do for a living ya know!

If you want a true BMX historian- one who lives it and not just reads about it, try my teammate- Bruce Ritter. I know he has a lot of pics and records. He lives for these kinds of opportunites to present his stuff!
