Some of you guys & gals like to crosstrain in the off months leading up to the summer BMX season, this is the perfect chance to do it.
Alot of us BMX'rs showed up last year & had a ball. All you need is a road bike & a helmet. Dressing in the right gear is always helpful i.e. tight fitting roadie gear. You can also race a Mt. bike, the typical hardtail outfitted with skinny street tires will do the trick.
RMR Raceway. 6555 W. 2100 S. West Valley City.
They race on Saturdays during March at I believe noon (sign-ups are earlier), cost is around $6-7 bucks & you don't have to have a membership.
In April they move to Tuesday nights & racing is at 6pm.
I treat this as a 30 minute spin class & it really is alot of fun. You'll learn a new style of racing & be able to see excatly what kind of shape your in. This is great training for BMX so don't be afraid to try something new!
People that will be out there includes Danita & me, the Hardys, Mark & Shannon Miller, Matt Spencer, Ron Melton(?) & a few other ex-bmxers.
Any other questions? Feel free to ask!
