Re: State Championship
I've got some more questions. This is what I gathered from the rule book. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Is the following true . . . ?
A rider must race in at least three of the state qualifiers (not necessary to make the main) to be eligible to ride in the State Championship final.
If a rider races in more than three of the state qualifiers the best three race scores are used and the others are thrown out.
The State Championship pre-race on Sept 14th contributes no points towards the state championship, only district points.
During the state championship final, riders race with their skill level (novice, inter, expert), but state championship titles are awarded based on total state points regardless of skill division.

Re: State Championship
All is true except, you dont have to race the qualifiers to sign up and race in the finals. You can race the final even if you dont race any or enough qualifiers. However you dont compete for the State championship awards. So if a rider doesnt race the qualifiers and finishes 3rd he will not get 3rd in the State championship awards. Hope that makes sense.
Also all awards are based on age groups and not skill level. So an intermediate can be the State champion in their age or age group.
