Just wondering if they are worth the money?
I'm looking for a new set for my cruiser. Yes, I'll be racing again.

Anybody?

You're going to race what again??
Please, no spandex on this bike...
Seriously, indoor should be a blast this year, like 2 full racks of 41 & Over cruisers kind of blast.
Just remember... real men race class and cruiser! 8)

bruce running shimano's again? that's almost as unlikely as bruce daring to get in a 41cr gate again.

I've tried the XTR pedals-but on my xc bike, not bmx. Similar to DX's . The platforms are small, and not very useful when trying to ride them clipped out (not that the platforms on 454's or dx's are all that useful either). I think they will hold up better. The 454's have those plastic end caps that tend to break after 6-9m of normal use. They are lighter too. I was going to have Ethan try a pair and will get back to you on how they do for bmx.

I bought 2 pairs, the XT & the cheaper version.
I put a pair on my mt. bike today & went for a decent ride. Iv'e got to say that these things are pretty darn good. The platform is just big enough to keep the pedel from rolling over & over when out of the pedel & then trying to find it in a hurry.
These things look to be about 100 grams lighter than your typical 545 platform/popup & 150 grams light when you go with the XT version.

I'm putting these on both of our bikes for the indoors. Performance Bike Parts is where I got them from.

I also bought the cheaper version and put them on the mountain bike and have loved them. When I bought them the selling point was weight is really the only difference from xt's

I think these would work great on the track
