So the new track build got me motivated to rebuild the RAD Canyon BMX website. So far, it's not much to look at but there are some good things coming soon that will enhance the overall experience with the site, while increasing the ability to capture and retain much more information.
After the obvious layout change, you'll notice there is a registration link to the left. Feel free to signup and register a username. This will allow you to comment on the various news stories that are posted, in addition to viewing comments already posted.
Most of the information on the old site is now uploaded and ready for viewing, except for a few features such as the lodging listings. As I continue reworking the site these features will be included and many new ones will be added.
If anyone should have any comments or suggestions, please let me know. Post a message here, or send an email to jgallo.AT.utahbmx.com. (replace .AT. with @).
Thanks for your support!

moto sheets/results?????
Re: RAD Canyon's New Website
Ok, the RAD Canyon website is finally taking shape, though I'll be adding much more in the days/weeks/months to come.
If you haven't noticed, there is a "random" image roll on the right side of the page. Right now I'm just pullings pics from a UtahBMX.com photo gallery, but I'm going to work on creating a specific directory with images to pull from. So, my request here is if there is a favorite picture you would like to see included in the image roll, please send it to jgallo@utahbmx.com. I'll add it to the directory and it will show up on the site. I'd prefer an image size of around 1200x900, as each image will be clickable to open up a full size version, but any image size will do. This can be an image on or off the track, but related to RAD Canyon BMX please.
Also.....
If anyone can make the moto sheet thing happen, let me know. I just don't have the time to really pursue this right now, but I
know it can be done because I've seen it on other websites.
This may just be possible by getting a copy of the final moto sheets and scanning? If anyone is up for that challenge, I can create the page to upload the scans to. Let me know.

Re: RAD Canyon's New Website
need to know what exportable options there are for the results from moto maker. I installed moto maker once but didn't want to create riders to make results. can we get our hot little hands on a copy of that (the moto maker software and database)? if i can't do it, i know someone who can.
my thoughts are this: dump the results as some sort of electronic file (maybe even a PDF, that could be scraped or just posted as is). upload that to a directory (FTP, WWW, sFTP) on the WWW server. if it's just a PDF and it's not going to be scraped, then maybe nothing else has to be done--but the server would need to have a sort of a 'directory builder' script to make a clickable link to the PDF of the results... but if that's not going to be the direction, the txt file could be uploaded, and a server side script could build a page from it's data...
or we'll implant a telepathy module into the scoring ladies' brains and go that route.

Re: RAD Canyon's New Website
So some pretty major changes have happened over the last few days:
Added an "Upcoming Events" listing on the left side displaying the next 5 events scheduled.
Added an Events Calendar link to show the schedule in calendar format, and will link to iCal.
Changed the page style and added the full track image in the header.
Comments? Suggestions?

Just wanted to say thanks for all the work you put into the website. I think the website is part of what makes Utah BMX what it is. The best in the country.

Re: RAD Canyon's New Website
Thanks Guys!
"Everything I do, I do it for you" =)
I'm pretty happy with RAD's site and the way it's coming along. Just a few more minor things to do and it should be complete (for now).
Already working on ideas for UtahBMX.com!
