Steve Kisslinger Injured

Talked with Steve earlier this week and he told me his back was killing him when he woke up Sunday morning and he could barely walk. Said he must have pulled something while racing Saturday night. Went to the ER and they said he had good case of sciatica.

Well, talked to him again yesterday. Said he had an MRI Wednesday morning and the docs told him he had several herniated discs in his lower back and looked like he was a candidate for some major back surgery to fuse all that back together. Has an appointment with a neurologist on Friday morning.

We hope this is not as serious as it sounds and things will turn out OK. Hope everyone will keep him in their thoughts and prayers. He is obviously really bummed out so if you got his number, give him a call and cheer him up. For what it's worth, I like having him around and hope he can get past all this and come on back out racing. Maybe even make Bruce's top 10 list someday!!!

He has also expressed interest in taking over TO out at Tooele!

This really stinks. He went down pretty hard in the Pro section. Usually these herniated disks will get worse over a week, then start to get better. There are a few options other than surgery to treat it. I had the same thing in my neck at C6 and C7 last winter, and it took quite a while to get back to semi normal. Steve- give me a call if there's anything I can do to help out.

Ouch! Steve, sorry to hear this bad news. Take the time and listen to the experts to get healed up correctly. A bad back is nothing to take lightly... take Dr. Alvey's advice. All the best to you, Stephen!

I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE WHO SENT THEY'RE THOUGHTS ON MY INJURY...I'VE HAD A NAGGING BACK/HIP PAIN ALL SUMMER AND SUNDAY AFTER RITTER'S EXTRAVIGANZA AT D.P. I WAS IN SOME SERIOUS PAIN, AFTER A FEW TRIPS TO THE HOSPITAL(MRI) AND A NEUROSURGEON TURNS OUT I HAVE TWO HERNIATED DISKS L4-5(FEELS LIKE PINS IN MY TOES, BLOW-TORCH ON MY FOOT, BELT-SANDER ON MY SHIN AND A RUSTY SCREW-DRIVER JAMMED INTO MY HIP) BUT WHO'S COMPLAINING!!! LOOKS LIKE SLICE AND DICE TIME, AND MAYBE ANOTHER "BRIEF" RETIREMENT. IT'S FUNNY HOW "DOUGHY" ONE CAN GET SPENDING 24-7 ON THE SOFA IN JUST A WEEK! I JUST HOPE I CAN "GET-SOME" OF NORTH-BALDY THIS SEASON BOO-HOO. COG'S STRETCH OUT THAT BACK!!!! ONE LOVE, KISS(SCUD)

Hate to hear about anybody getting injured, but your description made it even worse!!
Let me know if you need anything (801.550.7839). Batteries for the remote, a drink refill, or even a ride to the track to watch the madness that will be indoor...
Rest and heal man, hope to see ya soon.
