Re: Deseret Peak BMX Year End Party
Last race of the year at Deseret Peak BMX this Saturday........what a GREAT year!
Moto counts & rider counts were way, way up this year. They also set a new Saturday night, single pointer moto count record of 42. This is huge as I remember being in races out there that barely pulled 10 motos.
I don't know if everybody here knows that the Cooks are stepping down as the track operators after this season. I know first hand how much time & effort they have given over the years, that track is a bear to maintain & they have kept it in great shape. Darrin's laid back attitude about things is awesome, letting us ride the track for hours on end after the racing, letting racers like Mike Kelly, Rich Hardy & myself make wholesale changes to the layout over the years & trusting our judgement.
I'd like to ask everybody here who reads this to find the Cooks this weekend, shake their hands & thank them for 8 years of awesome service!
See you there!
