Advertise at the movies?

So I went to see "The Incredibles" with my kids last night (AWESOME movie by the way, very funny, you can even ask Bryan Oblad, he was there with Brooke) and I'm watching all these advertising slides, and it occurs to me, has anyone ever thought of advertising BMX in the theatre?

I would think it could really work in front of alot of these kids movies, it would definitely target the age group that we want to bring out to the track. The one thing that made me think it might work is there was an ad for Plaza Cycle, with a MX rider, and I overheard a couple kids say to their parents how cool it was.

Now, I have no idea how much it costs, but I'm thinking about looking into it, and what it would take to put an ad together. Just for reference, I'm not talking about a fully animated video ad, just a static picture slide that rotates with other ads.

Any ideas, good, bad or indifferent?

the ABA has a ready made commercial. I don't know any details such as length or anything, but maybe that would be good to get ahold of. I know this isn't what you had in mind for the theatres, but it sure would be cool to have a profesionally made commercial instead of just stills.

Just a thought.

J!

A fantastic idea. It is a little expensive. Have you checked on the price?

Bryan says he fell asleep during the movie but what he did see, he liked. I'm taking Justin this weekend to see Incredibles. I think the advertising is a great idea.
