So, anybody know the scoop on the MTB races? A track in Texas, I believe, done something like this and it turned out to be a huge thing.

Will there be MTB races every scheduled race day? Or is it just a select few days? You wont have to sign up with the ABA, right? Just pay for the days race?

could be a big thing with a little promoting.

I've got about 6 or so guys coming just for the mtb races. I think I'll be able to get more. Hopefully they'll all get addicted and start racing cruiser next year. Hopefully my foot will be working in time for the first race. Check with Jason Melton about the ABA registration stuff, I think they still need to work out an insurance arrangement.

The MTB races would be a great addition to the indoor and hopefully continue on to the outdoor tracks. There could be multiple lap races to make it a true test of endurance and skill :D
The registration software (MOTOMAKER) has the ability to create special open races. The only negative to the MTB races being opens is that the riders would not receive points which shoud not be an issue, I hope. The riders would have to purchase cruiser memberships also.

Should be loads O' fun!!!

If anyone wanted to create a "local" points system, I could track it all through the website, somewhat similar to the points tracking program currently available.

Multiple laps would be good. But how about this:

Out of the gate and down the hill, then an immediate right turn out the small gate by the drinking fountain, then up the aisle of the grandstands, down the row to the opposite end, then down the far aisle, then through the double gate by turn 1, then up the side of turn 1 then continue around the track like normal?

We will be having Mtn bike races at the indoor this year, so if you know some Mtn Bikers that would like to come out and race, contact me and I will get you the details! We are still trying to finalize a few details of how to run the whole thing. However there will be a class.
I am very excited for indoor races this fall
