Day 1 of the UCI World BMX Challenge in Taiyuan, China is complete for those racers 14 And Under. Out of 20 total competitors on team USA we had 13 place on the podium with top 8 finishes and that included 7 World Champions. Key mentions for Colorado are Wyatt Bell who finished as World Champion in Boys 5-6 and Collin Hudson who placed 2nd behind USA's Brock Heffron in 11 Boys. Wyatt rode with commanding power in the first straightway for each qualifying moto and the final main and had a 1-1-1 qualifier to the Main. Collin raced well too and finished the qualifiers as 2-2-1.
Today's competition included a total of 27 motos for these age groups and only 4 semi finals competed to detemine mains. There are less than 600 total Challenge class racers from all countries for these 2 days.
