Any skateparks open yet?

Postby rubbersidedown » Tue Feb 19, 2008 5:16 pm

Just checking in to see if any skateparks are open yet? Called Sandy City and the person on the other end just laughed at the idea of riding your bike in the winter.

I drove by Cottonwood on Saturday & a ton of snow was still covering the place. I was clear before that last storm. I'll keep checking the place in a week or two.

Jordan and I were over at Herriman Skate park on Sunday morning. Only the large bowls still had some snow left in them.
Its kinda small but we still had a lot of fun. It sure beats not riding at all.

Layton, NSL, and Clearfield are open. I heard the Roy one is open, but haven't been over there. The Herriman one was open last week, and has probably melted more since then.

FYI,
The Herriman Park isnt recommended during peak hours... too crowded and dangerous. The park is slanted towards the skaters and advanced BMXers but the box jump is fun for all if you arent dodging the crowds that are all too frequent.

Just showing my skatepark, seeing as how mine will be under 50+ ft of water pretty soon.

I can guarantee that this has never been done on this rock before!
enjoy

New Skatepark in Rose Park area

Postby Lurch-Air » Tue Mar 11, 2008 2:41 pm

It is located at 1200 w and about 1400 n.

Not to much but a nice 7ft tall hip/quarter that is way fun to hit.

Posted No bikes but no unfriendly results yet.
Take Care....
