New Frame Decals

Postby dantheriver » Thu Dec 20, 2007 9:20 am

I am putting new decals on a frame, and I need to clean the old sticky residue off. Can anyone recommend what to use to clean it with, without damaging the paint?

Use WD 40 to remove the sticky stuff....

I have also used denatured alcohol without any problems.

WD-40 works great. Cooking oil also works well. Just soak it- then scrap it with a credit card or something that won't scratch the paint. I've been doing a lot of sticker removal lately- so that's what I use!

Stout's bikes!
