1) Check out all the cool pictures from the last race on truebmx.com.
2) Practice my pathetic manual skills in front of my house while my neighbors wonder what I'm doing.
3) Try to convince my co workers how cool BMX is, and that they should come try it.
4) Pick scabs from the crash in my last race.

Things you should do in between races:
- Train for the next race i.e. sprints, gym, plyo's, etc
- Ride skatepark and trails (kind of FUN training, builds skill)
- Clean and tune up your scoot
- Watch lots of BMX videos
- Most importantly.... stay tuned to UTAHBMX.com for all of the current and upcoming events!
As for me, I am trying to lose weight so I dont burn out my clutch trying to get out of the gate with my wide-load
Keep it FUN!

There have been years when there was no indoor in Utah and we had to travel, to Idaho or Reno or Vegas. Even road tripped to Colorado to ride outdoor on Jan 1 since there was no snow. LOL
The weather is nice so just go outside and ride in the neighborhood.
I will be gettin in the gym alot.

I think Dan's is the most doable. I'll try that...
I am hopelessly addicted to the forums though.. but there needs to be more traffic! Don't you guys have office jobs too so you can also put off work and read BMX stuff instead?
Sheesh! You and your priorities!

Was that in the Main? Or a heat? I looked for a picture of you sliding out but couldn't see it... you had that one wrapped up, I think, until then... didn't you?

Brent-
Cottonwood Heights skatepark (Brighton High Shool) has BMX only early on Sundays. A lot of BMX folks show up to get a good workout in. The cement is fun and fast. Sandy skatepark has some fun lines, when it is not too busy. Justin mentioned I-street, it is quite fun and your boy will enjoy it as well. There are some big hits, as well as some little hits, and it is DIRT! You could also do some figure-8 drills, sprint intervals, and lift weights but that sounds a lot like work!

The Cottonwood Heights skatepark (Richard L. Guthrie Skate Park) is also open to bikes on Monday and Thursday nights from 6:00 to 9:00pm. I am trying to drag Heather and Ian out there tonight.
Come on out to work on your pumpin' and jumpin',

Yes it is. You park in the lot right above where it says "18th" on your map, then you ride up the trail on the left side of the tank (east) then it takes you around it towards the west, you can see the trail on your map. That spits you out to the riding area. Those blacks marks at the top of the main trail are little huts or sheds that the locals have built.
Little known fact. Halvey grew up in that area & claims he built the first dirt jumps up there in the mid-90's. First time I ever went up there was the late 90's. Mostly BMX trails but last time I went up a few years ago it catered to more the MTB crowd. If you go up take some pics & let us know how it was.
