Injury Report: Danny Patterson

Postby J Gallo » Mon Sep 13, 2004 2:43 pm

During racing yesterday, Danny Patterson took a nasty spill in the rhythm section and was down for a little while, here is a report I got:

----------------
Injury Report on Danny Patterson: Spent some time at a Clinic and Ogden Regional last night, and then on to our Orthopedic Doc (now on
retainer) today.

He's out about 4 weeks with a minor collar bone fracture, minor tear to his
rotator cuff and what we all thought was an AC separation to his left
shoulder. No surgery required according to the Doc.

He's not in much pain with it and should be able to start therapy in about
10 days.

Thanks for all your concern and help yesterday, especially Heather Cody, Don Healey and Mrs. Topham!!! Danny says Thanks a Ton!!!

Team Patterson
--------------

That's great news that it wasn't more serious. I think your bike bounced about 6 feet in the air! I'm sorry for not getting a picture of it! Get well soon, and see you back on the track in no time!

I am glad to hear that he is OK. That was the only crash I saw this year that made me cringe. Everybody who saw it gasped and I swear that you could *feel* his body hit the dirt from the top of the stands. Four weeks is not so bad so Good Healing Danny!

I completely aggree, He hit the ground so hard that it made me cringe as well. I was so suprised that Danny didn't break his collar bone! 4 weeks isn't too bad at all!

Hope you get feeling better Danny!

Danny, Be grateful it's only 4 weeks and not 6 months. I'm going insane. While I was in the hospital, I had a picture of my bike hanging on the wall. You'll be out tearing it up in no time at all. I'll be joining you all by the end of the year.
