An update, an apology, and a THANK YOU

First, just a quick update on the website:

I'm getting really close to finishing up the structure of the NEW site design. I'm really excited about this because it will bring much more content to the front page of the site, and will hopefully be more of a "portal" than just a static front page. I've had a few hiccups, but I'm finally starting to get it dialed in. Normally I would post a preview, but I'm going to tease you by keeping this one under wraps until it's ready for an unveiling :)

Second, an apology:

I just want to personally apologize to EVERY rider this weekend that I did not take more pictures. I was able to get a few on Sunday, but missed the jump session and all of Friday's and Saturday's action. I know alot of people look forward to the pics, and I sincerely apologize for the lack of them. Between the webcast testing, racing, announcing, etc, I just wasn't able to find the time. I will make it up to you, somehow :)

And finally a THANK YOU!

I just want to personally thank Ron Melton and Curtis Newkirk for the opportunity to announce a few races. I've said a few times I've always wanted to try announcing, and I had an absolute BLAST doing it this weekend. Hopefully I was an adequate fill-in replacement for Curtis, as he has really stepped up the quality of his performance. I'll make sure to work on my race cliche's should the opportunity arise again :)

Anyway, I am getting super-psyched for the next indoor a little over a week from now. I will only be racing on Saturday, so I can concentrate on the multimedia part of the races. Bruce has also commited some time to help with the webcast, which should allow me to be out on the track taking pics. This has been an incredible indoor race season so far, and we still have 3 weekends to go!

So, how are we going to top Semi's!!

Gallo, you did an awesome job stepping up your own performance on the mike this weekend. I also really liked your commentary during the jump session. It was smoooooth!

Really, the thanks goes to you. With Charlie now racing, I will surely need the help while I get him through staging and into the gate. Plus, on weekends like this one where I had a cold, I could not scream into the mike for long before losing my voice. I dropped a full bag of Halls in my gullet on Sunday, and that was with your help on the mike.

Again, thanks for stepping in and stepping up. You did great!

No apology necessary Jason. You do a great deal to support and promote our local/regional program and you have done it all on your own. You are one of the largest cogs in the Utah BMX machine and with out you we would not have the success and the channels to communicate within our community. THANK YOU JASON GALLO for taking our program to the next level.... heck, we are at least two levels above any other program out there due largely in part from your efforts.

Noteworthy: Jason, you were looking smokin' fast in your second round on Saturday night! You seriously impressed me. You are definitely earning your expert stripes. Keep up the great racing... but dont fall next time

My thoughts are similar to those above, thank you and keep up the good work Jason.

Although I'm usually only able to make it to the Friday night races, it truly has been a WONDERFUL experience.

Wow! He has given us all so much and he apologizes? We should all be apologizing to you that we are not more appreciative.

Thank you so much , Jason!

The Martin's and I am sure the entire Utah BMX community.
